Obituary of Shelley M. Testi

Shelley M. Collins Testi, age 53, of Shelton, beloved wife of Rocco Testi, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at her home.

Born in Bridgeport on August 16, 1972, she was the daughter of Edward and Shirley (Beattie) Collins. Shelley was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Southern Connecticut State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.

Shelley began her professional career at UnitedHealthcare. She later devoted herself to raising her two daughters, a role she cherished deeply. She eventually returned to the workforce, where she found great joy in her role with Catamount Services at St. Joseph High School. Shelley was dedicated, compassionate, and truly loved her coworkers and students.

She had a passion for crafting and refinishing furniture, finding creativity and joy in everything she made. Above all, Shelley was devoted to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, Rocco, and their daughters, Kayla and Gianna. She was a constant source of strength, love, and light in their lives, and her memory will forever live on in their hearts.

In addition to her loving husband of 29 years, her parents, and her cherished daughters, Shelley is survived by her three brothers, Edward Collins and his wife Judy, Todd Collins, Jason Collins and his wife Michele; and her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Beth Tiberio and her husband Stephen, Patricia Moore and her husband David, Carmen Testi and his wife Kim, and Anthony Testi and his wife Kim. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., directly at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton. Interment will follow at Huntington Lawn Cemetery.
