Obituary of Loretta DelMastro

Loretta DiTroia DelMastro, age 94, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Fiorentino John DelMastro, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Gerardo and Maria Valente DiTroia. Lorretta was a retired hairdresser working in the area for many years before her retirement. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured time spent with family and loved when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were by her side. Survivors include her five loving children, John DelMastro (Mary), Anthony DelMastro (Deborah), Peter DelMastro (Sondra), Loretta E. DelMastro and Maria DelMastro Caliendo (Steve), nine cherished grandchildren Anthony DelMastro (Christine), Patrick DelMastro (Heather), Matthew DelMastro (Cara), Andrew and Nicholas DelMastro and John Caliendo (Alex), Christopher Caliendo, Amanda DelMastro and Travis DelMastro (Nicole), six adored great grandchildren, Olivia, Hailey, Madeline, Gabriella, Emily and Luke, a sister Gloria Giovannini, as well several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank DiTroia and three sisters, Beatrice Briganti, Sue Rollieri and Inez DiTroia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe.
