Obituary of Margaret Mary Orkisz

Margaret Mary Holodnak Orkisz, age 89, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on June 23, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John and Carolina Holodnak and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.

Margaret worked at the former Reads and Filenes Department Stores for many years before her retirement. She was a devout parishioner of St. Theresa Church in Trumbull where she was active at the Senior Center at the church and served in the choir but her greatest joy came from spending time with family.

Survivors include her two loving children, Susan Orkisz and Thoms Orkisz and his wife Mela, eight beloved grandchildren, Benjamin, Jessica, Ashley, Julie, Danny, Alicia, Jeremy and Ryan and three cherished great grandchildren, Cameron, Phoebe and Levi as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Kaiser and three brothers, Andy, Mike and John Holodnak.
