Obituary of Dolores Montelli

Dolores (Murphy) Montelli, age 93, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Vito Mateo Montelli (Coach), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Kearny, New Jersey on January 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late James and Jane (Largey) Murphy, and was predeceased by five brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Montelli was an angel at heart and dedicated her life to the care of her family.

Survivors include her six loving children, Andrew Montelli (Liz), Mary Ann Ciambriello (Frank), Michael Montelli (Nancy), Diane Morrisey (John), Theresa Montelli-Cavoto (Keith), Thomas Montelli (Debbie),  17 cherished grandchildren Katherine, Thomas, and Margaret Montelli, Carla, Gaetano, and Vito Ciambriello, Michael and Sofia Montelli, Marcelle, Mary Grace, Patrick, Frances, John Paul, and Luke Morrisey, Thomas Montelli, Grace and Jane Montelli, and eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family prior to Mass on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
