Obituary of Elizabeth Mercaldi

Liz Bruccoleri Mercaldi, age 90, of Bridgeport, a former legal secretary and beloved wife of the late Frank A. Mercaldi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born in New York City on August 23, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna Capodicci Bruccoleri. Liz enjoyed reading and painting, but her main focus in life was taking care of and enjoying time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Frank Mercaldi, Jr., Lisa Guerrere and her husband Robert and Michael Mercaldi, her three cherished grandchildren, Michael Guerrere and his wife Tessy, Michelle Skelly and her husband Patrick and Jessica Mercaldi and her husband Ian Golden, three great grandchildren, Zeither, Sage and Ophelia, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Anthony Bruccoleri.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
