Dave will truly be missed. It was an absolute honor to learn from him and work alongside not just a great boss, but an incredible mentor. He had a way of teaching, guiding, and leading that made a lasting impact on me. Even though Dave would always say he didn’t have friends at work, I’ll always consider him a lifelong friend. I’ll miss the sports highlights, the laughs, and especially listening to him reminisce about the good old days—those moments meant more than he probably knew. I’m forever grateful for everything he taught me and for the role he played in helping me grow, both professionally and personally. His impact will stay with me for the rest of my life. My dear friend Deb, words fall short in expressing the profound sorrow we feel for you, Jessica, Mathew, and the entire family who cherished Dave. Jim and I were reminiscing about our softball days and the immense joy we found in spending time with you all. Those cherished memories are truly missed. I vividly recall our first meeting you and Dave, and the kids and how swiftly you all became an integral part of our large and close-knit family. Dave’s calm and composed demeanor stood in stark contrast to our loud and boisterous family. There’s no doubt that he was an extraordinary person. He will surely be missed. Jim and I want you to know that we will be thinking of you, Jessica, and Mathew. Regrettably, Jim and I will not be able to return to Connecticut until the end of April. Once we arrive, we will reconnect and relive some of our most cherished memories with some of the most important people in our lives. What I’ll miss most is Dave’s sense of humor, we worked together for many years and spent so much of it laughing. What was a quick decision to apply for a job as his assistant became a life long friendship. He had the highest standards, he expected the best out of everyone around him, and pushed me to be better at all times. During the years we worked together he shared his knowledge, looked out for me and my career, and was always open with his advice. But I’ll always remember the times we spent just laughing. My thoughts and prayers to Dave’s family. I know how much he loved them, they were the most important people in his life and he spoke of them often. We all loved Dave, especially Mom and Dad. He was a very kind man and Mom spoke of him often. She admired his intelligence and cooking skills… he made the best smoked pork and rice! When you lived next door Mom and Dad adopted your family. You both took loving care of my Dad like he was a king and Mom a queen and my family is forever grateful for all the love you shared over the years. We watched your children grow and Mom was heartbroken when you all moved, but thankfully not far. I know Mom is having a cocktail with Dave and laughing it up. We were truly saddened when we heard about Dave. He was one of a kind. We see his likeness when looking at his children, they definitely have their father’s genes! To Debbie, my adopted sister, and your family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Dave will be missed. With much love, Dianna, Suzanne, Frankie, and family.
