Obituary of John F. Drmic

John F. Drmic, age 56, of Ansonia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on April 11, 1969, John was the son of Frank and Anna (Peck) Drmic of Ansonia.

John attended the Kennedy Collective Program in Shelton. He loved coloring, painting, puzzles, duckpin bowling and cornhole. John enjoyed watching his favorite cartoons and movies. He liked taking long walks with his father and shopping with his mother.

John was special needs and was known for his gentle spirit, bright smile, and the happiness he brought to his family. John was deeply loved by his family for his kind heart and joyful presence. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his love for his family and the joy he brought to those around him.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving sisters and a brother, Kathryn Alberici and her husband Dominick, Liz Selimovic and her husband Rene and Steven Drmic and his wife Nadine, and five cherished nieces and nephews, Christina, Alanna, Michael, Kayla and James, as well as several cousins and extended family members in Croatia and Bosnia.

His family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff in the MICU at Yale New Haven Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion and support given to John and our family.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with a Funeral Service to take place at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home. Private interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
