Obituary of Robert M. Iassogna

Robert M. Iassogna, age, 74 of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gail (Mariconda) Iassogna. Born in Bridgeport on October 18, 1951, he was a son of the late Robert and Alice (Marconi) Iassogna.

Rob was a graduate of Kolbe High School and earned a full scholarship to pursue his education at Columbia University, where he proudly played football and earned his Master's degree in Psychology. He spent much of his professional career as a Human Resources Manager with Pepperidge Farm and Siemens Healthcare. Sports were a lifelong passion for Rob, especially coaching. Over the years, he coached his children (and hundreds of others) in soccer, basketball, and baseball, and also served for many years as a dedicated high school soccer referee. Those who knew Rob will remember him for his humor, generosity, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Family meant everything to him, and although he is no longer with us physically, his spirit will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched. Rob leaves behind a legacy of grace, resilience, and quiet strength that inspired all who knew him.

In addition to his devoted wife Gail of 50 years, survivors include his three loving children, Timothy Iassogna, Melissa Reed and her husband Mark, Jeffrey Iassogna and his wife Haley, two sisters, Marianne Gourley (Gary) and Dianne Gray (George), a brother Kenneth Iassogna and four cherished grandchildren, Skylar, Daisy, Luca and Sonny as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with a prayer service to take place at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or at www.hospice.com
