My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I worked with Rob for many years at Dade/Siemens. He and I managed our greatest assets, our fellow workers, through some difficult times and many changes. Rob was always there for anyone that needed guidance, help or a good listener. He was a gifted human resource professional, a good person and someone I considered a friend and confidant . I’m sad that I was not able to pay my respects to each of you in person but please know I am a better person because of his fellowship.

Rob was a member of our Smilow’s prayer group. He was a kind and true gentleman. Always added such wisdom, encouragement and insight to our meetings. He was a true warrior accepting his fate despite his recent health challenges that accompanied his cancer diagnosis. He shared his love of his family, grandchildren and faith with

I was Blessed ,and had the good fortune of knowing Rob for at least the last 64 + years, starting out when he was a member of the Orcutt Boy's Club on the East Side of Bridgeport, and I was the Director of the club at that time. He lived only a few blocks from the club and that became his second home, along with his younger brother Kenny. He set an example for all of his fellow Boy's Club members, very mature for his age and in1969, was nominated by the staff of the club to be named "Boy of the Year". Little did I know, that we would meet up again, 49 years later, as fellow members of the Men's Cancer Support Group, at the Smilow YNHH Cancer Hospital. He was a tremendous influence on all of us in the group. His resilience, positive attitude, mental toughness, Faith in God, and always encouraging us to "Fight the Fight", taking it one day at a time , and that ,this too shall pass , all had a tremendous influence on us and lifted our spirits !!! One of his favorite sayings was " All For One, One For All ", letting us know that no one is in this fight alone, and that we were all there for each other !!! Rob, also went on to become a volunteer in the Infusion Unit at Smilow, where all of us received either our chemotherapy or radiation treatments. This was his way of paying back, for all that the nurses and doctors did for him, but MOST IMPORTANT, to share his cancer journey with his fellow cancer patients, while they were being treated, inspiring them to "FIGHT THE FIGHT" !!! ROB WAS VERY,VERY SPECIAL, AND ALL OF US WHO HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE OF KNOWING HIM , ARE TRULY, TRULY BLESSED ! AMEN !

When I married Greg, Rob was by far the most welcoming of the entire extended family. He was the best person I know. We have lost one of the greatest lights. My deepest condolences to the family. I met Rob when we were kids. My dad was friends with Dan Marconi. That's how we met. Went to different schools until Kolbe when I got to know him better. It's amazing that it was 64 years ago.
A good Kolbe man as we say.
