Obituary of Paul W. Susi

Paul W. Susi, age 92, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Carriage Green in Milford with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Lois (Paulnak) Susi. Born in Bridgeport on October 20, 1933, he was a son of the late Vincent and Lillian (Volpe) Susi and was a resident of Torrington for over 30 years. Mr. Susi joined the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Paul enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a master woodworker, making tables and roll top desks just to name a few. He enjoyed drawing, making wine and homemade pasta and could often be found in the yard tending to his vegetable garden and loved sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. In his retirement, Paul volunteered many hours tutoring children for reading. Above everything family was his most important priority. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his daughters, his son-in-law and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter. He will be missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Survivors include his devoted daughters, Deborah Smeraglino and her husband Michael of Milford and Jennifer Susi of Stratford and a cherished granddaughter Alyssa Smeraglino as well as a brother, Benny Susi and his wife Theresa of FL. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at a time and date to be announced. Arrangements are in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
