Obituary of Rosalie S. Pauciello

Rosalie S. Pauciello, age 84, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Carmine Pauciello. Born in Bridgeport on May 22, 1941, she was a daughter of the late John and Lucille (Carbone) Cook and formerly a longtime resident of Trumbull.

Rosalie was a graduate of Harding High School and went on to become certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse. For many years she worked at Bridgeport Hospital and most recently at The Carolton in Fairfield before her retirement. In addition to caring for all of her patients over the many years, Rosalie was devoted to taking care of her family. She was happiest when she was cooking and surrounded by family especially her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.     

Survivors include her four devoted children, John Pauciello (Gretchen), James Pauciello (Theresa), Janet-Lynn Valiante (Joseph) and Lucille Riccio (Mike) a sister, Lynda Cook-Lawrence, twelve loving grandchildren, Julia, Thomas, Nicholas, Cole, Rachel, Blase, Joey, Ava, Michael, Mikayla, Luke and Johnny and four cherished great grandchildren, Decker, Sutton, Carson and Christian as well as two dear nieces, Joy Marino and Jill Marino, many other nieces and nephews, a lifelong best friend, Fran McCarthy and caretaker, Judy Czyjak. She was predeceased by a sister, Janet Marino.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
