Obituary of Patricia Scarpelli
Patricia Gallagher Scarpelli, age 98, of Trumbull and formerly of Greenwich, beloved wife of the late Carlo Scarpelli, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 24, 1927 in Buffalo, New York, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Gertrude Wagner Gallagher.
Before settling in Trumbull, Pat was a longtime Greenwich resident where she was the director of Swimming for the Town of Greenwich. She was also a longtime volunteer in Greenwich for the Girl Scouts of America. She was very proud to have played a role in shaping the lives of countless students along the way. She was also a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
But above all she was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Pat provided nothing but the best for her family. The unconditional love she gave and the values she instilled will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and lover her.
Survivors include her loving children, Carl Scarpelli and his wife Donna of Trumbull, Rona Lira of Trumbull and Ronald Scarpelli and his wife Sandra of Greenwich, six cherished grandchildren, Jaimie Scarpelli, Jennifer Henderson, Roger Lira, Heather Scarpelli, Courtney Scarpelli and Christie Caroll, as well as 5 adored great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
