Obituary of Linda V. Fucci

Linda Vivian (Chezako) Fucci, age 75 of Trumbull, CT, beloved wife of the late Donald R. Fucci passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Bridgeport on October 5, 1950. She was the first daughter of Robert and Eleanor (Abbott) Chezako.

Linda attended Central High School, and it was there at the age of fifteen she met the love of her life, Donald. They went on to get married and were inseparable for the next fifty-three years. Linda had a successful banking career and was a Vice President of State National Bank and then later Vice President at Fairfield Bank and Trust. During this time, she and Donald were co-owners of the family business Royal Fuel company. Linda was the Chief Financial Officer. Linda also worked at Santa Fuel for eighteen years in various positions.

Linda cherished her family and friends. She and Donald would celebrate with their families on special holidays, get togethers or take everyone sailing on their boat, the Royal Times. No one could forget what a great baker she was. Probably one of her greatest joys was working with Donald running Royal Fuel. Their customers were like family to them. They did more than fix their furnace, each delivery was oil and love.

Survivors include her loving sister, Diane Garbacik; niece Jaimee Garbacik and husband Josh Powell; Dale Plucker (James) and niece, Deana Lee Plucker, nephew, Grant MacCtacken; cousins and many godchildren.

Linda is predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Fucci; brother-in-law Frank Fucci: nephews: Jesse Garbacik and Michael Plucker and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Abriola Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10 a.m. in Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
