Obituary of Thomas M. Molnar
Thomas M. Molnar, 65, of Shelton, Connecticut, passed away peacefully in his home on February 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born on September 17, 1960, in Bridgeport, Connecticut and settled in Shelton, Connecticut with his wife and children.
Tom was a brilliant craftsman, owning Connecticut Piano Restoration for over 30 years, rebuilding and restoring pianos to works of beauty. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Miami Dolphins, proudly cheering them on through every season. Tom loved the summer, sunshine, picnics, good food and music, and was the life of every family gathering. Above all, Tom was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His strength, generosity, humor, and unwavering loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Tom's legacy is not only in the beautiful things he built with his hands, but in the love, protection, and goodness he built into his family and friendships.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Kathryn, his children Jennifer (Patrick) Brandon, Connie Molnar, Bryan Molnar (Sirena Medina), sisters Susanne Duzak, Deborah (Robert) Crossman, Jane Brown, brothers Gary (Laurie) Molnar, Mark (Joanne) Molnar, his lifelong best friend, whom he considered a brother, Cliff Carroll, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Eugene and Pauline Molnar, his infant sister Lorraine Molnar, his brothers-in-law Joseph Duzak and Albert Brown, and nephews, Matthew and Michael Duzak.
