Obituary of Katherine Maureen Kinnally SSND

Sister Katherine was born on August 11, 1941 to Catherine Assmus and Joseph Frederick Kinnally in Boston, MA. She professed her vows as a School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1961. Sister was a teacher and principal in schools in MA, NY, and NJ. She was director of Food Services at the Wilton Motherhouse and also served as the Executive Director of St. Peter's Village in Denville, NJ. Sister Katherine was the principal of Hope Rural School and co-founded Kindoo Family Center in Indiantown, FL

In 2023 Sister Katherine moved to 3030 Park Avenue, in Bpt, CT. She died at St. Vincent's Hospital on February 7, 2026. Sister is survived by her sisters Carol, Peggy, Patty and her brother Joe.

A wake will be held at St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, CT on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM . Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bethel, CT.
