Obituary of Corina Marrero

Corina Moutinho Marrero, 62, of Trumbull, entered eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in the warmth and comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Bridgeport on April 1, 1963, she was the cherished daughter of Domingos Moutinho and the late Celina Santos.

Corina devoted many years of her life as a waitress at the Galaxy Diner in Bridgeport, a place where her kindness, warmth, and genuine care left a lasting impression on all who walked through its doors. She took great pride in her work, finding joy in meeting new people and offering every guest not just service, but sincere connection—always delivered with her signature smile.

Above all else, Corina was a deeply loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her life was defined by selflessness, strength, and an unwavering commitment to her family. The unconditional love she gave so freely, along with the values she instilled, will forever echo in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her beloved father, Domingos, Corina is survived by her two cherished sons, Dominick Santos (Taylor Cote) and Jay Marrero (Christian Whitney); her adored grandson, Kingston Santos; and her sister and brothers, Linda Moutinho, Tommy Moutinho, and Carlos Moutinho. She is also lovingly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and by her devoted dog, Luna, who never left her side.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may honor Corina's memory by making a memorial contribution to a cause close to her heart, Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation; https://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/
