Obituary of Adria Turrill SSND

Sister Adria Turrill was born on January 2, 1924, in New York City, to Bridget Griffin and Henry Woodrid Turrill. She had five siblings: a brother and four sisters.

She met the School Sisters of Notre Dame as a student at St. John School in Bergenfield, N.J. Sister Adria entered the SSND community on August 29, 1943. Sister Adria was an excellent teacher, serving in several schools in New York and New Jersey.

Sister retired to Villa Notre Dame in Wilton in 2021.Sister died on January 17, 2026 at 3030 Park where she resided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, CT on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 10:30 AM, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bethel, CT.
