Obituary of Elio Imperioli

Elio Imperioli, age 91, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Elza (Boniotto) Imperioli. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on August 13, 1934, he was a son of the late Paulo and Avellina (Venditti) Imperioli and was a longtime resident of Stratford. He worked for many years as a machinist at Bridgeport Machines. In addition to his beloved wife Elza of 26 years, survivors include his two loving children, Christina Murcko and her husband Michael, Flavio Imperioli and his wife Mary, two stepsons, Carlo Furioto and his wife Caroline and Vagner Furioto, two sisters, Michelina Cresenzi and Antoinetta Mariani, seven beloved grandchildren, Matthew Imperioli and his wife Christina, Jacqueline DelRossi and her husband Ryan, Michele Christensen and her husband Eric, Lauren Mihaly and her husband Zach, Michael Murcko and his wife Michelle, Christopher Girotto and his fiancé Allison and Thomas Girotto and his fiancé Emilee and five cherished great grandchildren, Victor, Carter, Cooper, Kinsley and Nash as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Luisa Imperioli, a daughter, Angela Girotto and two sisters, Giovanna Gesuale and Italia Gesuale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 11:00 am in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1255 East Main Street., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
