Obituary of Frances M. Pascarella
Frances M. (Longo) Pascarella, age 97, of Trumbull, beloved wife, mother, and Meme, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. She was the devoted wife of the late Alfonso Pascarella.
Born on September 26, 1928, in Westerly, Rhode Island, Frances was the daughter of the late Rosario and Lucy (Samataro) Longo and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. After knowing each other only a few short months, Frances married the love of her life, beginning a remarkable 62 year marriage built on love, devotion, and family.
Frances found joy in life's simple pleasures, spending summers tending her garden and soaking up the sun, listening to big band music, knitting, watching game shows, completing puzzles, and teaching her grandchildren how to play cards. A passionate cook and baker throughout her life, she was especially famous for her pizelle cookies, taking with her the closely guarded secret that made them better than all others.
She is survived by her two loving children, Linda Gallo and James Pascarella and his wife Janis; her four cherished grandchildren, Francis Gallo III and his wife Eman, Lindsay Gallo and her husband Jeffrey Babey, Stephanie Pascarella, and John Pascarella; and her eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Pascarella, Violet Pascarella-Patel, Audrey and Catherine Babey, Aalia and Zaid Gallo, Valentina and Vonn Patel.
Frances was predeceased by her brothers Samuel, Rosario, and Phillip Longo; her sister Josephine Ligouri; her son-in-law Francis Gallo Jr.; her daughter-in-law Donna Lawler Pascarella; and her grandson JT Pascarella.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Wesley Heights and Bishop Wicke for their compassionate care, kindness, and continued support.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull with a funeral home service to be held at 12:00 noon. Interment will be private in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
