Obituary of Rosemarie Faust

Rosemarie Rogers Faust, age 66, of Naugatuck, beloved wife of the late Peter L. Faust, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at St. Mary's Hospital, under the dedicated care of VITAS hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 27, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Hilary "Buddy" Rogers and Marguerite Basista Rogers. She was a retired employee of Nuvance Health in Danbury, CT. Rose was the epitome of love, kindness, and generosity—qualities that shone brightly to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rose grew up with a heart full of compassion for both people and animals. She found peace in the simple joys of life, from the sound of crashing waves at a beloved lighthouse—her happy place—where she would often reflect on life and recharge her spirit, to the excitement of cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers. Rose's love for animals was limitless, and she always had a special place in her heart for any creature in need of care or affection.

To Rose, family was everything. It didn't matter whether you were bound by blood or by love; anyone who entered her life was family. She had an unmatched ability to make everyone feel at home, offering her love and kindness without hesitation. Her generosity knew no bounds, always giving what she could, no matter how big or small, and her soul radiated love to all who were fortunate enough to receive it.

Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren, Ava and Alyssa, who were the light of her life. Rose adored them deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. The highlight of each week was her cherished "Rowie sleepovers," where laughter, stories, and love filled the room, making memories that will live on forever in the love and hearts of her girls.

Rose's love for travel was matched only by her passion for spending time with those she loved. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a family vacation, she was happiest surrounded by those closest to her, creating memories that she held dear.

Though Rose faced immense pain and sorrow after the passing of her soulmate, Pete, six years ago, she found comfort in the love of her family and the hope that one day she would be reunited with him. Now, Rose is with Pete once again, along with other family and friends who passed before her. She is home, at peace, free from all suffering, and surrounded by love.

Rose leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and an unyielding devotion to her family. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, and we will forever carry her memory in our hearts.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Heather (Faust) Malash and her husband Jeffrey and Samantha Faust, both of Naugatuck, two adored granddaughters, Ava and Alyssa Malash, two brothers, Patrick Rogers and his wife Annette of NC and David Rogers of FL, a sister, Mary Lou (Rogers) Kellogg and her husband Rick of Delaware, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Faust of Newtown, Margaret Orencia of Southbury, Kathleen (Kat) Tilbe and her husband George of Southbury and Barbara Rockwell and her husband Bob of Washington, CT, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Peter and parents Buddy and Marguerite, she was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Donna Rogers, and Donna Faust and a brother-in-law Benson Orencia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 12-3 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
