Obituary of Carol A. Belchick

Carol A. (Paternoster) Belchick, age 84, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with her family at her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Eugene J. Belchick. Born in Bridgeport on December 15, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lydia (Indaco) Paternoster and was a lifelong city resident.

Carol devoted her life to caring for and being around her family. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life and she cherished every moment spending time with them or watching them while growing up. Coming from a large family, she was an amazing cook and loved hosting dinner at the holidays or just a Sunday dinner. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include a devoted daughter, Christine and her husband Doug Kay, two cherished grandsons, Michael and Alex and a brother, Nick Paternoster and his wife Linda as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Ralph, George, William, Richard and Albert Paternoster and sisters, Barbara LaPietra, Theresa Voroscak and Martha Cennamo.
