Obituary of Dana E. Albanese

Dana E. Hadar Albanese, age 81 of Shelton, devoted wife of Libby Albanese, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on May 21, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Eleanor (Hudak) Hadar.

Dana was a selfless, radiant and optimistic person who always had a smile and was full of love and kindness. She enjoyed spending time by the ocean and cherished all the family vacations to Cape Cod. Being with family was most important to Dana, she loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and always felt like a kid at heart. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, caring mother and doting grandmother. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband Libby of 62 years, survivors include two loving children, Frank Albanese and his wife Anne and Lisa Jakovac and her husband Augustin and three cherished grandchildren, Libby Albanese, Joanna Albanese and Samuel Jakovac as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Merrilly Dinean.
