Obituary of Celestina M. Cabral

Celestina "Tina" Cabral, age 61, beloved wife of Jose Cabral, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cape Verde on June 8, 1964, she was the daughter of Manuel Cabral of Cape Verde and the late Maria DeJesus Cabral. Tina was a longtime resident of Bridgeport, where she built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, and community.

Tina was loved by so many and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Family was everything to her, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life. Her love was deep, unconditional, and unwavering.

She was truly amazing—funny, stylish, and a natural charmer. Tina had a presence that filled every room she entered. She was honest, bold, and always staying true to herself. Her laughter, confidence, and warmth will never be forgotten.

She shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Jose, to whom she was married for 37 years, together they shared a bond built on love, loyalty, and devotion.

In addition to her loving father and devoted husband, Tina leaves to cherish her memory her three loving daughters, Vanessa Cabral, Jeanette Cabral, and Christiana Cabral; one brother, Aquinaldo Cabral (Maria); two cherished sisters, Geraldine Barros (Aguinaldo) and Requelinda Cabral (Roland Whitley); and her two cherished grandchildren, Jiselle Dawson and Knori Graham. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Auxcilia Encarnacio; two brothers-in-law, Joao Cabral and Hermano Ramos (Danielle); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Maria DeJesus Cabral, and her brother, Celestino Cabral.

Tina's strength, humor, warmth, and spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and laughter will remain forever in our hearts.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 27 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Cathedral, 399 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport.
