Obituary of Deborah DiGirolamo

Deborah (Breninghouse) DiGirolamo, age 56, of Westerly, R.I., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, on February 23, 1969, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold Breninghouse and the late Patricia (Kerekes) Schultz.

Affectionately known as “Momma Deb,” she found happiness in life’s simplest moments and always saw the good in others. Her angelic personality shone through in the kindness she extended to everyone — always greeting others with a smile, offering a listening ear, and never passing judgment. She had a love for cooking and for crafts, which she often shared with her family. She also enjoyed taking drives along Misquamicut to admire the ocean views she treasured. Above all, her children and family were the center of her world, and her greatest joy was found in their presence. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and selflessness that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Deborah is survived by her devoted children, Joseph (Elizabeth) DiGirolamo of Seymour, Ashlyn (Dostilio) Vicencio of Shelton, and Matthew (Ary) DiGirolamo of Westerly, R.I.; her cherished grandchildren, Lila and Ivy DiGirolamo; her sister, Michelle (Reno) Costas of Morrisville, PA; her brother, Harold (Karen) Breninghouse of Hamilton, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Tina Pocino and Sharon Weber.

A prayer service and celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Visiting hours will begin at 11:30 a.m. that morning, continuing until the time of service. Interment will follow privately at the convenience of the family.
