Obituary of Theresa Tantimonico

Theresa DiGiacomo Tantimonico, age 94, of Trumbull, was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Terry, the daughter of the late Fedele DiGiacomo and Pasqualina (Lena) Corraro, was born in Bridgeport on August 24, 1931.

Terry is survived by her devoted children and their spouses, Laurie LaChioma and her husband Steve, Gary Tantimonico and his wife Diane, and Lisa Carrano and her husband, Donald Pulieri. She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, Steven LaChioma (Miriam), Ashley Puzzio (Chris), Lindsay LaChioma, Brett Carrano (Elizabeth), Alexandra Castiello (John), and Ryan Tantimonico (Stephanie), nine adored great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Terry was pre-deceased by her cherished love, her husband of 65 years, Joseph Tantimonico, her son in law, Frank Carrano, two brothers, Carmine DiGiacomo and Fred DiGiacomo and one sister, Rose Polozzolo.

Terry lived a life defined by her unwavering devotion to her family. A housemaker by profession, her proudest accomplishment was the life she devoted to her loved ones. Her dedication shone not only during life's most pivotal moments, but woven into the quiet, everyday gestures- the meals she lovingly prepared, the traditions she preserved, the stories she shared and the steady, comforting presence she offered. She will be missed beyond comprehension and her legacy will remain in our hearts forever.

In her later years, our mom was blessed to spend her days at home, surrounded by her closest friends, Simoy and Karen, who brought comfort and care to her life. Their presence brought light to her days and peace to her heart. Our family will forever be thankful for the love they showed her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
