Obituary of Sister Virginia Stasium SSND

Sister Virginia Stasium was born to Mary Agnes and Vincent Stasium on May 27, 1946, in Cambridge, MA. In addition to her parents, Sister is predeceased by her three brothers. She is survived by her sisters Tina, Barbara and Roberta.

In 1964 she entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame and was professed on July 18,1966, taking the religious name, Sister Mary Luke. Her education focused on English and Theology. She taught in the United States and in Puerto Rico.

Sister Virginia moved to 3030 Park Avenue in 2021. She died in Bridgeport Hospital on November 29, 2025.

Services will be held at St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, CT on December 9, 2025. Viewing is at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bethel, CT.
