Obituary of Natalie Karmas

Natalie (Natalina) Paludo Karmas, age 97 of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Karmas. Born in Lido di Jesolo, Venezia, Italy on December 21, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Mikele and Maria (Habler) Paludo and was a longtime resident of Stratford before moving to Trumbull.

Growing up in Italy beside the Adriatic Sea, Natalie loved going to the beach and swimming in the blue waters. After meeting and marrying the love of her life, she moved to the United States. She frequently went back to Italy well into her 80's to see family and swim in the ocean. Natalie was an accomplished painter; she proudly displayed her work at home but also shared her paintings with family and friends. She was active throughout her life and enjoyed playing tennis, walking, dancing and shopping. She also could appreciate a nice glass of wine while relaxing and socializing with family and friends. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family, especially with her cherished grandsons. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Diane Baldelli and her two cherished grandsons, Niko Baldelli and Gino Baldelli as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Bruno and Anselmo Paludo and sisters, Vanda Acerbi and Beatrice Sciammarella and her beloved son-in-law, Lawrence Baldelli.

All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements are in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
