Obituary of Rocco Bauco
Rocco Bauco, age 99, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, just one day shy of his 100th birthday, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Maddalena (Chiodi) Bauco. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on November 24, 1925, he was the son of the late Antonio and Santa Bauco. Rocco had worked as a mason his entire life and was proud to have been involved in the construction of many of the major buildings throughout the greater Bridgeport area over his active years working at E&F Construction. Even after his retirement, he still worked with his sons in a similar capacity, under the name Family Construction. Rocco greatly enjoyed his trips to the casino. He was an extremely social person, well known by all and his frequent trips allowed him to become a favorite guest among the staff that worked there. His greatest enjoyment however was found in the time he spent surrounded by his family. A Loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving children, John Bauco and his wife Karen, Anthony Bauco and his wife Renee, Gina Zamary and her husband Mark, and Frank Bauco and his wife Maria, his cherished grandchildren, Frank Bauco, Jr. and his soon to be wife Tina, Joseph Bauco and his wife Kaitlyn, Danny Bauco, Mark Zamary Jr, and Ava Bauco, his adored great granddaughter, Emily Bauco, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Maddalena, he was also predeceased by his sisters and their husbands, Maria and Antonio Cesarini, Iolanda and Domenico Bauco, Aurelia and Domenick Diana, and grandchild Nicholas Bauco.
