Obituary of Bruno V. DiMichele

Bruno V. “Chuck” DiMichele, age 90, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary G. (Baldelli) DiMichele. Born in Bridgeport on March 14, 1935, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Maria DiMichele. Mr. DiMichele had been a lifelong machinist, having worked tirelessly for many years. He had also served as a former Stratford Police Constable, where he built many lasting friendships. He enjoyed reading and had acquired a wealth of knowledge from the numerous books and magazines that he would study from cover to cover. This quest for knowledge led to his ability and joy in finishing crossword puzzles and he also had a knack for completing challenging jigsaw puzzles. Some of his other enjoyments included target shooting, traveling the country with his wife and family, riding his motorcycle and of course a big plate of macaroni. Bruno was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He was humble, yet strong, and had a keen sense of humor that attracted others to be around him. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In the hearts of his family, he remained a man of quiet strength, who was deeply admired, and profoundly respected.

He is survived by his devoted children, Anthony DiMichele (Lina) , Cheryl Ann Zaffis (John), Vincent DiMichele and Lisa Barahona, all of Stratford and Julianna DiMichele Murphy of Shelton, special friend and TV partner George Belade, his cherished grandchildren, Ricky, Christopher, Sean, Samantha, Francisco, Miguel, Alex, Stephanie, Brandon, Patrick, Erin and Aimee, his adored great grandchildren, Parker, P.J., Cameron, Sebastian, Riley and Owen, as well as many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. In addition to his siblings, Albert, Serafina, Marie and Jean, he was also predeceased by his former wife, Sally A. DiMichele.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Matt Ginger from Stratford VNA for his compassionate care, friendship and dedication to our father.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
