Obituary of Marie M. Joseph
Marie M. Joseph, age 82, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family at her side. Born in Terrier-Rouge, Haiti on November 18, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Jonathas and Ocelia (Severe) Joseph and was a longtime Bridgeport resident.
Marie Joseph was the caretaker for all the children in her life—strong, resilient, and always someone you could depend on. An amazing cook and a talented seamstress, she loved to sew, spend time in prayer, and stay active with her at-home workouts. She was loving, funny, and full of warmth. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed doing word searches and watching nature videos.
Survivors include her loving siblings, Pierre Fequierre Joseph, Pierre Joseph, Wilner Joseph and his wife Gabrielle, Jacquelin Joseph and his wife Rose, and Mimose Nemorin, a host of nieces and nephews Marie Charles and family, Rosevanie Joseph and family, Irlande Monrose and family, Ketena Charles and family, Patrick Joseph and family, Marjorie Joseph, Jose Joseph and family, Cassandra Joseph, Vanessa Joseph, Shanika Joseph, Guerly Joseph, Brawly Joseph, Gabnel Joseph and family, Conrad Joseph, Kendra Joseph, Jocelyn Joseph and family, Budry Joseph and family, Eras Joseph and family, Marquise Joseph and family, Manoucheka Joseph and family, Francois Pierre and family, and Marie Danielle and family, as well as many more great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Emanuel Joseph, a sister-in-law, Anne Marie Joseph, a niece, Edline Pierre and a nephew, Ephrem Joseph. Her faith, her strength, and the love she poured into everyone around her will forever be remembered.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. directly in St. Charles Church, 1255 East Main Street., Bridgeport.
