Obituary of Nancy Truini

Nancy Catucci Truini, age 82, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Paul C. Truini Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2025. Born on July 10, 1943 in Brooklyn and raised in The Bronx, right on Arthur Ave to be exact, she was a daughter of the late James and Mildred (Sandano) Catucci.

Before her retirement, Nancy was a bookkeeper for Shaw's Supermarket for many years. Nancy loved to sew and quilt and she would often make clothing and blankets for all of her family and friends to enjoy. She loved when the family was all together, especially her grandchildren, creating memories and sharing laughter. She especially loved Sundays when she would prepare her traditional Italian feast for all to enjoy. She always made the best meatballs!

Survivors include her two loving children, a daughter, Millicent (Milly) Iacono and her husband Fiore of Trumbull; a son, Paul J. Truini and his wife Donna of Oxford and the apples of her eyes and heart, four cherished grandchildren, Sofia Rose, Liv Marie, Tyler Paul and Dylan James, a brother, Bill Catucci, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton.
