Kelli Toro, 55, of Fairfield, Connecticut, passed away on November 13, 2025, with her beloved son and her devoted husband by her side. Born in Bridgeport, CT on December 11, 1969, Kelli grew up in Stratford, where she developed the warmth and wit that defined her throughout her life.
Kelli dedicated more than 30 years to a distinguished career in commercial banking. She began at People’s Bank and later People’s United Bank, forming lifelong friendships and earning the admiration of colleagues through her steady professionalism and generous spirit. She concluded her career at M&T Bank, at an officer level, carrying with her the dedication and loyalty that marked every chapter of her work life.
Above all else, Kelli’s greatest joy was her family. Her son was the center of her world, and his happiness, accomplishments, and character filled her with immeasurable pride. She shared a loving home and life with her husband of 17 years, whose steadfast devotion was a constant comfort, especially throughout her illness. Kelli had a lifelong love for animals. Her home was always open to rescue pets, each one finding comfort and unconditional love in her presence. She cherished family, and friends, each of whom knew her as someone who showed up with a listening ear, a helping hand, and a tender heart. Kelli most loved to spend summers on the beaches of Block Island, RI, with her family and friends.
Kelli is survived by her son, Joseph Toro; her husband Ed Pinto; her sisters Sara Woods (John Cone) of Prospect and Tammi Ott (Daniel Ott) of Stratford; nephew Brodey Ott and niece Caeley Ott of Stratford; Aunt Michele DiLella of Monroe; and nephews and niece Justin Prince, Jessica Prince, and Thomas Prince of Georgia.
She is predeceased by her beloved parents, Robert Mitchell and Gail Hamilton Woods and half-brothers James Mitchell Prince and Robert Wayne Prince of Georgia along with special uncles, aunts, and friends.
The Family would like to thank the Smilow Cancer Center of Trumbull, CT and Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Care Team during Kelli’s brave battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
