Obituary of Carmine Mastroianni

Carmine Mastroianni, age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Elena Pace Mastroianni, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 8, 1937 in Calabria, Italy, he was a son of the late Francesco and Adelina Rupperta Mastroianni.

Carmine immigrated to the United States in 1961 alone in search of his love, Elena. Once married, Carmine and Elena lived in Pennsylvania before eventually settling in Bridgeport. He was a machinist for Bridgeport Machines with over 25 years of dedicated service before his retirement.

Carmine enjoyed the outdoors; he loved to tend to his garden and enjoyed hunting. But above all, he was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He valued time with his family and was there whenever he was needed. His memory will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 64 years, Elena, survivors include three loving children, Francesco Mastroianni, Maria Rita Haray and her husband William and Lena Paula Sampaio and her husband Oscar, four cherished granddaughters, Christina Sampaio and her fiancé Kaulman Lengyel and Krista, Destiny and Amber Haray, a brother, Sam Mastroianni, a sister, Teresa Costanzo, sister-in-law, Santa Beauregard, as well as many nieces, nephews and relatives in the United States, Canada, and Italy. He was predeceased by a sister, Maria Bevacqua.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
