Obituary of Yolanda Romano

Yolanda Puglisi Romano, age 98, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Peter C.
Romano, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025 surrounded by the love
of her family. Born on July 30, 1927 in Modica, Sicily, Italy, she was a daughter of the
late Orazio and Josephine Romano Puglisi.

Yolanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to the love and care of her family. Proud of her Sicilian heritage, she passed on many family traditions and shared family recipes for all to enjoy. Her door was always open and food was in abundance. Her greatest joy was being around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The unconditional love she gave and values she instilled will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Yolanda was predeceased by a son, George T. Romano, sisters Rosalia, Rosa, Gina a brother Federico and sister-in-law Carmela Puglisi.

Survivors include her two loving sons, Thomas G. Romano and his wife Deborah andPeter J. Romano and his wife Gail, six cherished grandchildren, Lii, Peter, Erica, Nicky, Gia and Alex, seven adored great grandchildren, a sister, Margareta Iacono in Sicily and several nieces, nephews and relatives in the US and Sicily, Italy.

All Funeral Services will held privately.
