Obituary of Virginia R. DiNardo

Virginia "Ginny" Randall DiNardo, age 88 of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Moziac Senior Life. Born in Mandan, North Dakota on December 16, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John Randall and Evelyn (Wiedmaier) Randall.

Ginny graduated from Granby High School, Norfolk, VA, class of 1955 and in 1986 she received her bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida. She was an honorary member of the Navy Seabees at Norfolk, VA in the early 1950s where she served as a liaison to the civilian community and was involved in planning and organizing events at the naval base, including the many dances and balls. At one of the dances, she met her husband of 25 years – Frank DiNardo Sr. Ginny was an avid Music Lover her entire life. She enjoyed music, theatre, the arts, playing cards with friends, boating and she loved to travel. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Virginia is survived by her four children: Frank DiNardo, Jr., Linda DiNardo, Diane DiNardo-Kolbe, Peter DiNardo (Lisa), as well as grandchildren: Michael DiNardo, Patrick DiNardo, Matthew DiNardo, Philip DiNardo and Lilith DiNardo, sisters: Norma Kellogg, Susan Wiedmaier and a brother: James Wiedmaier (Becky). She was predeceased by her spouse: Frank DiNardo Sr. of Sarasota, FL., a sister: Irene Randall, a brother: Warren Wiedmaier and a beloved granddaughter: Monica DiNardo.

The family would like to recognize and thank the entire staff at Moziac Senior Life (Rosenberg House) for their love and compassionate care they all provided to Ginny over the years. Special thanks to her caregiver, Paula, for her exceptional care, love and unwavering support! We are forever grateful.
