Obituary of Andrew Joseph Kozel
Andrew Joseph Kozel, age 24, of Prospect, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident alongside his father. Born in Bridgeport on July 30, 2001, he was the beloved son of Andrew and Joann DeBiase Kozel of Prospect and was a longtime resident of Stratford before moving to Prospect 15 months ago.
Andrew graduating with honors from Platt Tech. At the age of 16, Andrew went to work at JV Precision in Seymour where he used his training and became proficient as a CNC programmer and operator and enjoyed working alongside his father. He and his dad enjoyed camping and riding ATVs together. Andrew also liked gaming and Pokémon and working with his 3D printer. He developed a love for cooking from his dad and enjoyed making some special dishes for his family. He was a devoted son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his grandparents and his mother Joann, survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
