It didn’t take long after meeting him for Milo to share his love language of food with me . He invited me to breakfast at the Merritt canteen, where we had our usual conversation about cars while we waited. Once our food showed up Milo spent a suspiciously long minute looking back and fourth between his sunny side up eggs and eyeing the tables around us. With a big smile and while looking me dead in the eyes he leaned over and sucked the yolks out of the eggs on his plate.of course we both busted out laughing, and I sat there trying to decide if he was hilarious or crazy. Over the course or our lifelong friendship I learned he was both . What you saw is what you got with Milo, and in addition to a great friend I got an awesome godfather to my son Rest in peace my friend. Love the Saunders family

I will miss Millo. We became good friends. I took Millo to see our Helicopters. He really enjoyed that trip. I also gave Millo a tour of the old AVCO plant. He didn’t realize how big it was. I will Cleary miss Millo.

Please accept our most sincere condolences. We met Milo when he was just a baby, the memories we shared in our life long friendship with his parents and family remain in our hearts forever. We know that Milo is reunited with his parents and he and his dad are working on a project again together in Heaven.

Having met Millo only a few years ago, you knew you met someone special. He welcomed me into his world of four wheeled toys and never closed the doors. He was inspiring, gentle and giving. Always a joy to be around.
THE LORD HAS CALLED OUR BROTHER HOME,
WHERE WEARY HEARTS NO LONGER ROAM.
HIS KINDNESS BLOOMED IN QUIET WAYS,
A LIGHT THAT WARMED OUR PASSING DAYS.
HE GAVE WITH HANDS SO FULL OF GRACE,
REFLECTED HEAVEN IN HIS FACE.
THOUGH NOW HE WALKS WHERE ANGELS SING,
HIS LOVE STILL STIIRS ON EVERY WING.
IN EVERY ACT OF CARE WE SHOW,
A TRACE OF MILLO'S HEART WILL GLOW.
FOR GENTLE SOULS ARE NEVER GONE ----
THEY LIVE THROUGH LOVE,
THEIR LIGHT LIVES ON.
May God's peace which surpasses all understanding be upon Leisa, Donna and Families during this time. In Loving memory of my friend Milo.

I am so saddened to hear of Milo's passing , and my deepest condolences to his beautiful family
Milo was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it and treated me with kindness and respect from the very first time we met I truly felt that we connected , I even had the luxury of joining him and his family for home made ravioli and Joe's Foccacia and I cherish the memory. My only regret about Milo is that I didn't meet him earlier.
Fly High with the Angels in Heaven my friend until we meet again .

That Millo had to leave us doesn't seem real to me and never will. We met in Italian class in high school and became brothers not long after graduation. We initially bonded over our love of hot rods, when he asked myself and my brothers to join the car club he founded called, "East Coast California". We had the time of our lives back then with all the guys and gals in the club, plus all people we met along the way. He was the center of all the chaos and the fun continued right to the end when he could no longer outrun this dreadful illness. I could write a book about the last almost half century and it would be a best seller because of all the great times all of us got to experience because of Millo. My heart hurts for not only myself, but for his wife, Leisa, sister Donna and all his family and friends. He was truly one of a kind and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him understands exactly what I'm talking about. A more gentle soul I have never known. Forever rest in peace, Kid. We'll all see you again when it's time and when that time comes, it will be the best of days.

Though we only saw Millo once a year, the warmth he brought into our lives made it feel like we’d never missed a day. He always greeted us with that big, unmistakable smile — the kind that made you feel instantly at home. We may not have known him deeply, but we never doubted for a second that we belonged when we were around him. That’s just who Millo was - generous, welcoming, and quietly proud of the life he built.
He often spoke with pride about MTD, and NEDS. You could see it in his eyes when he gave us the tour, how much it meant to him. It wasn’t just work; it was legacy.
And then, of course, there were the meals — big, beautiful Italian spreads with homemade focaccia and a strong, comforting cup of espresso. Sitting at that table with Millo, we had no doubt we were family — not visitors, not guests, but we were where we belonged.

Milo and I go way back when I met him in the playground on the first day of First Grade and we've been friends since then. My fondest memories of him are when we used to go sledding at his house and his mother would make us lunch. We enjoyed going to Dover and Connecticut drag strips. We loved cars and worked on them together and I would visit him at his shop where he sandblasted parts for my Corvette. He was a true perfectionist. Milo was a very selfless person with a big heart that offered to help anyone who needed it. We had so many laughs and great memories together!
I will miss him terribly!!
May you rest in peace, my good friend!

Can't believe the news I heard yesterday. I have known Millo for over 45 years and he was a true friend of mine. We used to hang out together everyday back in the 80s and work on our cars together. When I built some of the cars I have owned, including the T-bucket, I needed certain parts that I could not find. When I told Millo, he said "Not a problem - we will just go to the shop and make them". I will always remember the great times that we spent together hanging out, working on our cars, going to the Canteen and trying to figure out a name for the car club, East Coast California. I am grateful that I stopped by the shop not that long ago and got to spend some time talking about old times. Rest in Peace, Buddy.
Sincerely, Lou Mitri
