Obituary of Joan L. Bettini

Joan L. (Gregor) Bettini, age 90, of Stratford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of Chester (Chick) Bettini. Born in Hazleton, PA on June 3, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Gladys (Michaels) Gregor. Joan had worked alongside her husband as the co-owner of C & J Accounting Services for many years. She was a selfless and giving woman who was honored to have received the Presidential Award in 2006 for her commitment to volunteerism. She tirelessly donated countless hours of her time to both Bridgeport Hospital and the soup kitchen, where she built many friendships along the way. Her greatest enjoyment however was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband Chester of 70 years, other survivors include her loving children, Craig Bettini of Stratford, Glenn Bettini and his wife Veronica of Bloomfield, NY, and Danette Balog and her husband Timothy of Hamden, her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Bettini and Gianna of Milford, Kristen Bettini of Stratford, Glenn Bettini and his wife Laurie of Naples, FL, Michael Bettini and his wife Olivia of Bloomfield, NY, Brittany Bartlett and her husband John of Land O’ Lakes, FL and Cory Balog and his wife Amanda of Hamden, her adored great grandchildren, Allison Bettini, Lucas Bettini, Bailey Bartlett and Brynn Bartlett.

All funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.  Donations may be made in Joan’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
