Obituary of Thomas M. Ludgis

Thomas M. Ludgis, age 85, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Audrey (McCluskey) Ludgis. Born in Bridgeport on August 8, 1940, he was a son of the late Frank Benedict Ludgis and Winifred Helen (Andruski) Ludgis and was a longtime resident of Fairfield and Monroe.

Thomas was proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After attending trade school, he became a plumber and pipefitter and joined the Pipefitters Union Local # 777 and worked in the trade for over 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed trips to the casino and going out to eat especially at a good diner and often could be found sitting at Wolf Park enjoying the outdoors. Above everything, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family and friends and cherished the time he spent with his twin granddaughters, Brianna and Marissa. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his two beloved sons and daughters-in-laws, Stephen Ludgis and his wife Michele and Christopher Ludgis and his wife Kristin and two cherished granddaughters, Brianna & Marissa. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank "Sonny" Ludgis and a sister, Patricia W. Ludgis.

Tom's wishes were for all funeral services to be held in private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
