Obituary of Giosue Iacobucci
Giosue Iacobucci (Joe), age 71, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025 with his beloved wife Mary Jane (Krusinski) at his side. Born on April 19, 1954 in San Nicola la Strada, Italy, Joe became a permanent resident of the United States in 1977.
Joe completed his education in Italy before proudly serving in the Italian Armed Forces. After his military service, Joe's sense of adventure brought him to Germany for his first job in the auto industry, and then to America where he found his passion working as a carpenter. Joe was a dedicated member of the Carpenters Local 210 for 40 years where he worked for many general contractors including C.H. Nickerson & Company. He was known for his impeccable work ethic.
Joe was blessed with 70 years of robust health. Nothing pleased Joe more than taking leisurely morning walks with his wife before travelling to Whole Foods and Sorrento Importing to seek out the freshest ingredients for his culinary masterpieces. Joe was a talented cook who loved sharing his creations with his family while enjoying a glass of wine. He also loved spending time outdoors, tending to the yard and cultivating his tomato garden. His favorite way to relax was by watching classic films and cooking programs. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Very proud of his Italian heritage, Joe enjoyed sharing Italian traditions with his family. He ensured every holiday had a magical Italian flair. He and his wife celebrated their honeymoon on a cruise to the Mediterranean where they visited his family in Naples, Italy. This voyage was the first of many travel adventures that will forever be treasured.
Joe was a devoted and loyal friend to many. He built meaningful and lasting friendships at the Circolo Sportivo Italian American Club where he was a long-time member. His friends would describe him as friendly and generous. He enjoyed his daily visits, sharing stories, playing cards, sipping espresso and catching up with friends.
Joe was a loving and dedicated husband. The unconditional love he gave will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his adored wife of 33 years, Mary Jane, Joe is survived by his cherished mother-in-law, Mary Jane Julian, sister-in-law, Juliann Tyler and her husband, Wes, brother-in-law, John Krusinski and his wife Linda, his brothers and sisters in Connecticut and Italy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Mercurio, mother, Maddalena and brother, Ercole.
