Obituary of Cintya M. Barzola Rios

Cintya M. Barzola Rios, age 56 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Eric Rosales for 28 years and mother of two loving sons, Eric Rosales Barzola and Renzo Rosales Barzola.

Born in Lima, Peru on October 17, 1968, she was the daughter of Nelly Rios and the late Carlos Barzola, and the role model big sister of Carlos, Angela and Maria.

Cintya was an incredibly hard worker, graduating from one of the top universities in Peru and helping to create a successful family business. She was an amazing mother who took immense pride in and dearly loved her two sons. She loved to travel and visit new places, always happy to have her family alongside her wherever she went. Throughout her life she demonstrated courage and braveness, leaving her homeland with her young family and managing to make a life for them in challenging circumstances.

Her presence and energy touched many people and she will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Home Service will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, September 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
