Obituary of Bonnie J. Vail

Bonnie Jeanne Donaldson Vail, age 78, of Shelton, beloved wife of Joseph John Vail Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on February 15, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ralph William and Jeanne Mary Marquis Donaldson.  Bonnie was a retired Treasurer for the Town of Stratford and had 20 years of dedicated service before her retirement.

She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother (Nana). She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her smile could light a room when they were by her side. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe Sr., survivors include three loving children, two sons, Joseph John Vail Jr. and his wife Suellen, and Keith Vail, and a daughter, Deborah Vail Cisero. Also, she had eight cherished grandchildren, Joseph III, Jackson, Danielle, Jaimee, Victoria, Keith Jr., Kody and Kameron, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Robert Donaldson.
