Mass of Christian Burial
Obituary of Judith Ann Carrafiello
Judith Ann Carrafiello of Trumbull, CT passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. Born in Bridgeport on August 26, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Ann and William Carrafiello.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Judy, a longtime resident of Trumbull, Connecticut, who had recently moved to Georgia to enjoy the warmth of southern winters.
Judy graduated from Trumbull High School before pursuing her nursing degree at St. Vincent's Nursing School in Bridgeport, CT. She built a remarkable career at St. Vincent's Hospital, where she served as a critical nursing manager, admired for her compassion, leadership, and dedication to patient care. Judy's commitment to helping others extended beyond the hospital walls. With her ongoing classes in Business Administration at Sacred heart University in Fairfield, CT, she founded ENRICH Associates, a nursing care service that provided skilled nursing and companion care both in and out of hospital settings. She was also passionate about educating the public, organizing health fairs and events, and contributing to national health care data and survey initiatives.
Although an only child, Judy was never without family. She grew up surrounded by a close-knit group of cousins—her "tribe," lovingly known as the little Indians, a name given by her mother. Together, they shared countless adventures, from childhood mischief to putting on neighborhood garage shows filled with singing and dancing, where Judy often led the way.
Judy's heart was as full as her life. An avid animal lover, she welcomed many dogs and cats into her home over the years. She loved to travel, embracing the joy of new experiences—and the simple indulgence of room service. From an early age, she also mastered the art of knitting, creating beautiful pieces and attempting to pass along the skill to others, though not always with success.
She is survived by many cousins, all of whom she cherished as both family and lifelong friends. Her warmth, wit, and love will be remembered always, and she will be deeply missed.
