Obituary of Frantz Cassagnol
Frantz Cassagnol, age 69, of Bridgeport, Connecticut passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Frantz was the beloved husband of Jocelyne Cassagnol. Frantz was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on December 9, 1955, he was a son of Louise Magloire and the late Ernest Cassagnol. As a means of giving his family a better life and more opportunities, Frantz immigrated from Haiti to the United States in April of 1985 settling in Stamford for 15-years before eventually moving to Bridgeport in 1998 for 27 years where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Frantz was a dedicated man who knew the value of hard work and demonstrated that through his employment and unmatched work ethics. Proud to provide for his children and family, Frantz worked in the mechanics/assembly department at Pitney Bowes main manufacturing facility in Stamford for 10 years before being laid off in 1997. Not one to sit around unemployed and idle for too long, Frantz immediately applied for work and landed various jobs to fulfill his responsibility as a devoted provider, while also going to evening school to earn his high school diploma equivalent from Rippowam in Stamford. Shortly after earning his high school diploma equivalent, Frantz decided to focus his energy on a single career, and enrolled in a Commercial Driver's Licensing training program, where he earned his Commercial Driver's License. In 2001, Frantz secured employment as a bus driver for the city of Bridgeport, where he worked for 24 years until the end of his life. At work Frantz was admired and respected, always ready to help, rarely saying no, he set an example and was a positive role model for everyone he encountered.
Frantz leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and integrity, that touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him; may his memory live on in our hearts forever.
In addition to his beloved wife Jocelyne and mother Louise, other survivors include his loving biological children, Mirlande Pressat and her husband Jimmy Pressat, Sherley Cassagnol-Dumeny and her husband Jimmy Dumeny, Cindy Cassagnol, Reginald Cassagnol, and Frantz Cassagnol Jr., Farah Jones and her husband Sean Jones, Ernscie Cassagnol and Webert Cassagnol, his brothers: Gerald Jean Jacques, Jimmy Magloire, and Guerino Magloire, his sisters: Flerzilia Lindor, Brunette Appadu and Clerdune Magloire-Sweeney, and 19 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
