Obituary of Rosemary H. Malik

Rosemary H. Malik, age 88, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Edward (Skinny) Malik, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Born in Bridgeport on August 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Helena Nagle Hoare.  For over 25 years, Rosemary worked as the Pension Administrator for the Greater Bridgeport Amalgamated Transit Union.  She was a member of the Trumbull Democratic Town Committee and served as a Justice of the Peace. She was predeceased by her brother, Patrick Francis Hoare.

Survivors include her loving children, her daughter, Kathleen Malik Chagnon and her son, Edward P. Malik, four loving grandchildren, Nicole Malik and her husband Cathal, Meghan Rios and her husband Mario, Colleen Rose Chagnon and Charles E. Chagnon. Two great grandsons Myles and Maddox. Rose is also survived by several dear friends whom she considered family,

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and staff of Stone Bridge Health Care Center in Newtown.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday August 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 -10:30 a.m.
