Obituary of Margaret Anne Scaringella

Margaret Anne (Fulop) Scaringella, age 82, of Mount Dora, Florida and formerly of Trumbull, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025. Born on October 11, 1942 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was a daughter of the late Stephen John and Irene Irma (Samu) Fulop. Margaret was a Dental Assistant for Brush & Floss Dental in Stratford for many years before her retirement. She was a lifelong Catholic, attending St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Trumbull, Connecticut and St. Patrick Church in Mount Dora, Florida. Margaret was a long-time resident of Trumbull, CT where she raised her family along with ex-husband Salvatore Scaringella. She volunteered in many capacities usually associated with her children's activities, especially for many years with the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band. She was a band mother and chaperone to many students who thought of her as the "cool mom". She was also the fundraising chair for many years ensuring the marching band students had the funds needed for their trips. Margaret was a huge fan of the UCONN Men's and Women's Basketball programs and followed both teams even after moving to Florida. Margaret was also a nature lover, especially for her beloved birds in Connecticut and Florida. She had a tremendous passion for wild birds ensuring they were well fed with their favorite type of bird seed. Survivors include her loving children, Anthony Scaringella and his wife Young Sun, Joanne Lenzen and her husband Joseph, Michael Scaringella and his wife Julie; grandchildren Sarah Mailloux and her husband Tim Satterfield, Jonathan Scaringella and his wife Kylie, Jessica Mailloux, Madison Troeller and her husband Michael, Joseph Mailloux, Jacob Scaringella, and Willis Gauthier; great grandchildren Gabriel Troeller, Audrey Satterfield, and Stella Scaringella, sister Irene Jackiewicz, sister in-law Margaret Fulop, sister in-law Tina Fulop, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Stephen Fulop, brother Frank Fulop, brother in-law Chester Jackiewicz, and great grandson Luca Joseph Troeller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
