Obituary of Nicholas J. Zezze, Sr.

Nicholas J. Zezze Sr., age 99, of Trumbull and formerly of Yonkers and Mount Vernon, New York, beloved husband of the late Carolyn Puite Zezze, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Born on September 5, 1925 in Mount Vernon, New York, he was a son of the late Cosmo and Livia Pascucci Zezze. A U.S. Navy veteran, Nicholas was a Postal Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Mount Vernon with 36 years of dedicated service before his retirement.

He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his two loving sons, Nicholas Zezze Jr. and his wife Antoinette and Brett Zezze and his wife Trish, three cherished granddaughters, Jennifer Karstensen and her husband Patrick, Stephanie DelVecchio and her husband Chris and Janine Dominici and her husband Mike, five adored great grandchildren, Khloe, Christopher, Lily, Luca and Sienna, a sister Joan, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Carolyn, he was predeceased by a brother Samuel and a sister Carmella.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611. Entombment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery, 280-284 Secor Rd., Hartsdale, New York. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT.
