Mr. Pedersen was my guitar teacher as a kid! He helped cultivate a love of music and performing with me, now working as a professional, thanks to him giving me the confidence and skill. Always had such a lovely time with him. We moved away when I was a young teenager and I wish I had kept in touch with him. I had googled him over the years in the hopes to get back in touch with him but to no avail. So saddened to hear of his passing. He truly was such a lovely and kind man. Sending love and healing prayers to his family ❤️❤️❤️

My Condolences to Dave's family and friends. Dave was a good friend at MHS and after. We had some great adventures and
I have many happy memories of those days and visiting him at the Hartford Conservatory where he roomed with Scott Zito. I was glad I got to see him and talk a while at the Milford Music Reunion several years back. I will hold him and his loved ones in my prayers.

Dear Debbie,
I just now heard of Dave’s passing. I’m in shock of this saddest of news. My deepest condolences to you and the whole family.
I will never forget him, the years of playing gigs together, and our true friendship for one another, even though so many years had passed without keeping in touch. What a sweet man who loved music so much and knew how to laugh and enjoy life.
It always pained me to see him not well, while he tried his best to rise above the stress it was giving him, and be genuinely nice and engaging with others.
I know he loved Our Lord and in that you can rest assured Dave is with Him at this very moment.
Sadly,
Fred Scerbo

Dave was my cousin by marriage, he was always ready to make good conversation and he loved playing music. I remember him singing lady for Debbie at their wedding and you could see the love he had for her and his kids as the years went by and they had children. He was a loving loyal husband and father.
We have lost touch over the years but my sincerest condolences go to you Debbie, Ashley, William, Aunt Ray and all the grandchildren.
The friend who wrote how he met Dave and they were friends for years really summed it all up and it gave all of us a deeper knowledge of who Dave was and he will be missed by many.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers to have the strength and faith to get through this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Deb, Ashley, and Will. My deepest condolences go out to you all during this incredibly difficult time.
Dave and I met about 30 years ago at a large wedding in Milford. I had just moved back from Florida and was performing during the cocktail hour, while his band was playing the reception. He came over, introduced himself, and we've been friends ever since.
The following Monday, we got together for lunch at my home and talked for hours about music. He shared stories about his students, his passion for teaching, and his hope for better school systems. He always spoke so fondly of his wife, Deb, and his kids, whom I soon met.
Friendship was incredibly important to Dave, a value we both shared. I believe this is the glue that has held us together for so many years. We played many gigs together and always had fun especially at gigs we did for Sikorsky Aircraft . Even though he was a much more talented musician than me, he always helped me without ever saying an unkind word. This kindness, thoughtfulness, and passion for his music and beliefs were the essence of who he was.
My friend, I will truly miss you.

My sincerest condolences to Debbie and family. I knew Dave at Milford HS, where we had a couple art classes together. Great musician even back then. Met him years later at Stillmeadow School in Stamford when I was mentoring a student on my lunch hour. My young man adored "Mr. Peterson" and couldn't wait to introduce us. As he came walking down the hall, Dave said "Norm?", I said "Dave?" and we reconnected instantly. Fast forward a few more years and when my band needed a bass player while our regular guy recovered from an injury, Dave was my first call. He fit right in like he'd been playing with us for years! MIss you, brother. Show Jaco some cool bass licks....

My sincere sympathies to Debbie and her family on Dave's passing. I loved listening to him play over the years. He was a super nice gentleman who always had a smile on his face, a song on his lips, and a kind word to say about everyone he knew... May he Rest In Peace as the Angels welcome him home :-(

Deepest sympathies to david's family and friends.
His life was driven by music as it is with a lot of us.
Aside from him making the music; he shared with and inspired younger generations with his knowledge of music which is a gift that can change people's lives.
God bless him for that!
Thanks for the memories David.
Rock and and rest in peace.

So many great years of music and bands together. The original Kinsley Band, TOYS, Donny Mac Band, Kinsley Project. All the countless jam sessions. Top shelf music, all the time, especially when you were on vocals and Bass. You taught so many young musicians the art of Guitar and Bass and many of them are still active today.
Your microphone is silent temporarily.
Forever grateful for the music and friendship.

Well stated Jay. We played together with Dave in what might have been Donny Mac Band in late 74-76. During the short time I knew him, we bonded over the music. After the gigs, he was resident philosopher. We used to jam at the apartment Fay and I had at the Anchor. We left the area in ‘76. I never saw Dave again - but I’m real thankful that I met him and we had that short time of friendship and music. I’ll miss you (have missed you) brother Dave.
