Obituary of Linda Marie Arceri
Linda Marie Arceri, age 61, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Louis John Arceri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 11, 1964 in Danbury, she was the daughter of Vera Schoenemann Trutt and the late William J. Trutt Jr. She was a graduate of Litchfield High School and attended Post University. Linda was a former secretary for the Diocese of Bridgeport.
A devout Catholic, she was a long-time parishioner of St. Andrew's Church, where she was a eucharistic minister and member of the St. Andrew's Columbiettes. She enjoyed cross-stitching and needlepoint and she made all the needlepoint crosses for all the children making their First Holy Communion at St. Andrew's. Linda enjoyed music, especially the Celtic Thunder and country music.
But above all she was a devoted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with her mother shopping and playing Rummikub and loved to spoil her nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
In addition to her beloved husband, Louis and her loving mother, Vera, survivors include her brother, William J. Trutt, III and his wife Melanie, their children, Caitlin and Courtney Trutt; her mother-in-law, Rose Arceri; sister-in-law Geraldine Rapela and her husband Andres, their children Sean and Julia Rapela; sister-in-law Tonianne Bankoski and her husband Brian and their children Ava, Ella, Clare, and John Bankoski, and her canine companion Freddie, as well as many dear cousins and friends.
In addition to her father William Jr., she was predeceased by her father-in-law, John Arceri.
