Obituary of Theresa Schneider

Theresa Colello Schneider, age 87, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late David P. Schneider, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on July 23, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Mario and Concetta Antonelli Colello.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and the simple pleasures of life. Theresa loved boating, trips to the casino and shopping on QVC.

But above all things, Theresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include three loving children, Linda Bocchino and her husband Sam of Shelton, David Schneider and his wife Shelley of Milford, and Paul Schneider and his wife Julie of Florida; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister. Angelina Wakeling, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gerry and Mario and two sisters, Grace and Anna.

The family would like to thank the hospice team, as well as the staff at Gardner Heights for the level of care and professionalism shown to Theresa in her time of need.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
